Nora has extensive work experience in programme management in (post-) conflict environments, focusing on security sector reform, governance, crisis prevention, mediation & dialogue, and the efficient establishment of regional networks. Nora led teams and managed project sub-offices. She has worked for the OECD, GIZ and DCAF. Nora worked several years in the Levant region (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan) with civil society, the strategic level of executive authorities and the security forces. She is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and German.
Nora co-founded Lanosec in March 2018 and was Managing Partner until 30 June 2021. She currently works for NATO in Kuwait.

Lars is an expert in Police Reform, Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (PVE/CVE), and Conflict Prevention. He has managed projects and programmes for the Federation of German Industries (BDI), UN DPKO, UNODC and GIZ in Berlin, New York, the Sahel Region and Palestine. He designed and implemented stakeholder analyses, focus group discussions, perception surveys and conflict-sensitive monitoring systems. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German.
Lars co-founded Lanosec in March 2018 and was Managing Partner until 30 November 2020. He currently works for the German Federal Foreign Office.

Jesus is a military expert specialised in gender, peace and security and worked for the Spanish Armed Forces for more than 36 years. For three years, he was the Chief of the NATO Office of the Gender Advisor at the International Military Staff, where he provided advice on gender and UNSCR 1325. He also drafted the first Military Guidelines on the Prevention of, and Response to, Conflict-related Sexual and Gender-based Violence approved by the NATO North Atlantic Council. Furthermore, he was the Deputy Head of Protocol at the Spanish Ministry of Defence and the Personal Military Assistant to the Spanish Military Representative to the EU and NATO in Brussels. He also served as Head of Team in the European Community Monitor Mission in Former Yugoslavia (EU) and as Political Advisor and Head of Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina (OHR).
Jesus has been working as a consultant for numerous organisations, such as DCAF, UN Women, the EU and the OSCE ODIHR. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.

Barbara is an international policy professional working both within civil society and the private sector. She has a well-versed background in foreign and security policy and extensive experience in multi-stakeholder management, political analysis and consulting as well as programme development.
As Director with the Agora Strategy Group, a political consultancy, she headed the Berlin office, managed the Agora Strategy Institute, the consultancy’s think tank unit, and lead client projects. Prior to that, she was Press Officer and Project Manager with the Munich Security Conference, one of the world’s leading platforms for debating international security policy. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German and speaks basic Italian.
